Planning resource
Do the next thing.
Then the next one.
Follow the WedUploader flow at your own pace: create an album, test an upload, share it with guests, then choose the features that fit your celebration.
How to collect photos from guests
This flow begins after the account owner has signed up and connected Google Drive with WedUploader.
Create an album
- Enter a title for your event so guests can recognize the album.
- Name the folder that will be created in your connected Google Drive.
- Choose the event date and select Create.
Upload a photo to your album
- Open the album you just created from your album list.
- On the guest album page, choose Browse Files, select a photo, then confirm the upload.
- Wait for the upload to complete and check that the file appears in the connected Google Drive.
Share your URL and QR code with guests
- Use Copy Link in your album dashboard to copy the guest URL.
- Use View QR to display or download the QR code for signs and cards.
- Place the link or QR code where guests will see it, such as the wedding website, invitations, table signs, or event messages.
Optional: add a background image
- Open Custom Background from your album settings, choose an image, and preview the guest page at phone width before saving.
What dimensions work best for the background image?
Choose an image that remains clear and readable at different screen sizes.
Choose a suitable image
- Use a sufficiently large image with room around the subject so responsive cropping does not cut off important details.
Preview the crop
- Open the album preview at desktop and mobile widths, then adjust the image position if the focal point or text becomes obscured.
How to enable the public gallery
Make the shared gallery visible when you want guests to browse media from everyone.
Open the album
- Choose the album and find Gallery Visibility under Guest Experience.
Choose the visibility
- Select Public to let guests browse shared uploads, or Private to keep the shared gallery hidden.
Preview the guest view
- Open the guest link on a phone and check that the gallery state matches what you intended.
How to use the moderator tools
Review uploaded media from the account owner’s moderation area.
Open Moderation
- Use the signed-in album dashboard to open Moderation for album-wide review.
Review before acting
- Check the photo, video, or message carefully before changing its visibility.
Removing a photo from the gallery
Use the removal flow that matches your role.
Find the photo
- Account owners can review album uploads in Moderation. Guests can use “Need to remove a file?” from the Gallery for the focused public removal flow.
Confirm removal
- Check the selected media, confirm the action, and verify the result in the gallery.
Reinstating a photo into the gallery
Reinstate is an account owner action for previously hidden media.
Open Reinstate
- Review previously hidden content from the account owner’s Reinstate area.
Restore the right item
- Select the intended media and confirm that it returns to the gallery.
How to enable the guestbook
Turn on Guestbook when you want guests to leave a message with an upload.
Open Guest Experience
- Choose the album and find Guestbook under Guest Experience.
Enable Guestbook
- Turn on Guestbook, save, and open the guest album to verify the message field appears.
Test the upload flow
- Check that a guestbook message is submitted together with at least one selected photo or video.
